Trick or treating that tops them all!!

With our streets being a little too harrowing for little trick or treater's and the wild turkey's having a real vicious streak this year we couldn't really trick or treat in our neighbourhood, (no one wants to get pecked by an ill-spirited turkey), so we spent Halloween evening with the Frigards in their neighbourhood of Petaluma.  I couldn't paint a more idyllic image of Halloween if I tried.  Every house is adorned with Halloween decorations, each and every person opens their doors in costume with their arms full of lollies and chocolate, (or sometimes play-dough for the healthy-minded donor), even the dogs dress in costume.  The streets were lined with happy little ladybugs, robots, lions and mermaids skipping from house to house squealing with delight as they watched their cauldrons fill to the brim with lollies.  We all dressed as pirates, except the two little ones who dressed as parrots, unfortunately we couldn't get them to cooperate and sit on our shoulder.  Kendra's dad made this insane pirate ship that was mounted to the red wagon that we took with us and gave relief to weary pirates along the way, it was by far the best Halloween I've had in America so far, I can't wait for next year already!!

Mila and Summer were matching pirates, it was cute to see how excited they were.  FF to when they are 16 and the story wouldn't be quite the same.
