Christmas Day

Christmas on the ship was nice because Anton and I didn't have to get out of bed to assist the girls with their presents at 6am.  I also tried to minimise the gifts they got, but I still managed to fill a suitcase.

Business as usual, stockings hung out with care.
We even brought a mini tree, decorated by the girls.

Happy little girls on Christmas morning.

Santa even managed to get across the Pacific and give them the Jake lego that they asked for
Santa also managed to stop on the ship on Christmas day and give them a cute stuffed dolphin.

The oldies looking festive

Did someone say cheese?

Not completely well yet, she was asleep before the food got here.

Gangsta!

At sea.

After our day in Ensenada we had 4 days at Sea, time to put our feet up.

Anton reading his book and enjoying his morning coffee.

Poor Mila, sick and quarantined, but still with a smile on her face.

June a little stir crazy from quarantine.
Grandpa Nagy in the fancy confines of the smokers lounge.

A little ice-cream and a lot of sea air (and anti-biotics) and Mila was back on her feet in a couple of days.

June tried to put her swimmers on herself.

Day 2. Ensenada, Mexico

Our first stop was Ensenada Mexico.  It was only a day trip, but I think we got to see the highlight of Ensenada which was the fabulous Hotel Riviera del Pacifico casino built in the 1930's, having hosted the likes of Al Capone, Charlie Chaplin, William Hearst and Mexican Presidents.  It is said that the Margarita was born here at the Casino. In later years it was a holiday spot for Lana Turner, Desi and Lucy and other Golden Era Stars and Starlets.

Small Cacti in Mexico.

The courtyard inside had a market going with free Margarita's.......naturally.

Mila was not well, upon returning to the ship, we learned that she had nice case of Scarlet Fever and Strep. (The Scarlet kicked in a little later in the day).

Not too shabby.

Anton and June dancing in the  Ballroom.

Mila holding up, no dancing, but a little cuddle on the dancefloor.

June puzzled by a street she can't walk on and NagyMa embracing the stage.

Fabulous Florida Wormwood Cypress hand painted ceilings.

Check-in counter....or is it check-on counter.

All of the Chandeliers were commisioned from Spain.
The original part of the Casino.  Despite the absence of poker and roulette tables and the addition of a makeshift dancefloor and drapey whatsit's from the ceiling, you can still feel the energy that once was.
