Both girls are in school full time and loving it, I am back to work and we've had Uncle Bean move out here from Australia with our new adopted dog Mishka. We've had visits from Uncle Cush, Gramma and Grampa, NagyMa and Grandpa Nagy and Teta Lindsay, Eric and Cousin Oliver.
Mila is thriving in school and we are currently up to our armpits in school admission applications. She took soccer and music classes through the year and I have realised that her calling lies more toward the academic persuasion. She loved soccer and always excelled in the training exercises, but the moment she was on the field and had to hustle or be hustled, it just all went downhill from there. She was bothered by someone stealing the ball while she dribbled or someone blocking the goal. Plus there were a few amateurs that used their hands, tsk, tsk.
Her music teacher however, says she's his star pupil, so I've put in a request for Mum and Dad to dig out my old violin and we will see how she does with that. She has also announced, much to my joy, that she wants to be an artist when she grows up. Yay!
June is a little terror and couldn't be more opposite than Mila. She doesn't listen, doesn't sit still, doesn't do as she is told, climbs anything vertical and fears NOTHING. She is lucky she is such a cutie pie because she is so mischievous. On the bright side she is complete and thorough entertainment for us all and she keeps us either laughing (or shrieking) constantly. For example, 20 seconds ago she walked in with marker all over her face saying "it's lipstick!" Do you shriek or laugh?.....I know there is marker on my furniture in the other room right now, there's no way she just stuck to drawing on her face.
Ok there's my 2 cent update. If I try to post pics from last year you will have to wait another year, so I am going to start fresh with 2014.
To start the year we took my oldies on a 15 day cruise to Hawaii and wow, did we have fun. We managed to squeeze in Christmas and New Years, a stop in Ensenada Mexico, 4 of the Hawaiian islands, the big Island, Kauai, Oahu and Maui and a cruise across the pacific as well. June keeps asking to go home to her boat.....me too......sigh.
Without further adieu, her are our snap shots from the trip.
