July Fourth

July Fourth didn't quite start out as planned.  We intended to go to the Sleepy Hollow Parade with Maxx and Owen and their cousins who were visiting from Virginia.  Unfortunately we dilly dallied on the walk there and missed it.  We literally saw the end of it disappear down the street.  I will say that I caught a glimpse of the parade as we were heading over there and it didn't look that great, I think they probably had more fun on the walk there than if they had seen the parade.

The kids making a run for the parade.

Mila sadly looking at the butt-end of the parade.

Nothing a little brownie snack in the shade couldn't fix.

Mila used some of her brownie as facepaint.

June looking very patriotic with her military escort.
We played for a while at Maxx and Owen's, swimming and shooting hoops and then headed home for a nap, ribs, watermelon and another swim.
Mila trying to catch June in her net.

June was a spry little thing.

Gotcha!

From June's perspective.
June stayed patriotic and wore her red, white and blue bikini.
Cuddles
....and a laugh.
Mila was partial to the watermelon.
The girls munching their ribs

Munch, munch, munch
